David Anointed; Defeats Goliath
1 Samuel 16-17

Summary:
After Saul’s kingship was rejected by God, the Lord sent Samuel to find and anoint the next king. To Samuel’s surprise, God had planned on choosing David, the hard working and youngest son of Jesse. From that day forward, Saul and David’s relationship began to develop through the time David spent serving under Saul. This further led into one of the more memorable events in the history of God’s people at which time David volunteered to go into battle armed with God’s strength and protection where he defeated the giant, Goliath!
